We arrived at church and as I was taking her out of her car-seat, I realized her ring was gone. Sadness! I determined that it was not in the car. So it must be at home. I decided that I couldn't worry about it. I would panic later! My friend Mary confirmed that I couldn't worry about it and that it was most likely at home.
It is a cute little ring. I don't recall ever actually wearing it! My grandparents gave it to me once upon a time. I am glad that I have a little girl to pass along my girlie keepsakes to!
I was thinking that OH NO, what would I tell my mom? What would I tell my gramma, that I had lost this keepsake? That I have saved that thing for what, thirty years, only to let my 18 month old wear it just to lose it?
I determined that no rubbish would leave the house until I was sure there was no ring mixed in with the boxes and paper (who knows where she was when she took it off!). I would sweep the house if necessary to find that ring. Thankfully it didn't come down to searching through boxes and papers or sweeping the house to find it. It was on the rug in front of the couch. I noticed it while I was resting. THANK YOU! I am very thankful that it is no longer lost! Now we can save this ring for another thirty years...
